The Palestinian American Chamber of Commerce (PACC) hosted a delegation of businesswomen from the U.S., representing senior executives of leading American Companies and organizations on Monday, July 7th at PACC office in Ramallah. Ms. Deborah Coleman - President and CEO, International Business Solutions, Inc., Ms. Stephenie Foster - Senior Vice President for Government Affairs, American Legacy Foundation and Ms. Cynthia Traeger Chairman, CEO and President, VSI Visual Synthesis Incorporated.

The delegation met with Palestinian businesspeople* represented by PACC Chairman, Mr. Kareem Shehadeh, from different economic sectors. The delegation was introduced to the Palestinian business environment, the challenging political and business impediments facing it and the restrictions imposed on investing and outsourcing. A clear message was conveyed, Palestine is an opportunity to invest in and by creating successful market linkages and prosperous business partnerships the Palestinian economy will flourish.

On the other hand, the delegation expressed their interest in learning about business trends in Palestine and that they have gained on hand experience during the visit to the country. They also stressed the uncontrollable business obstacles one can face when conducting business in Palestine. They have also shared their experience in achieving sustainable growth in a challenging business environment and shared their personal experience each in her specialization.  

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Douglas Apostol and Christina Agor from the Economic Section at the U.S. Department of State, Ms. Emily Hutchinson from Vital Voices.
